5 Car Photo Tips for a Cleaner Venom Car Build

The photo decides what the goo builds. Five habits that make the reveal look like your car: framing, angle, light, background and resolution.

The scene decides the goo, the garage and the camera. Your photo decides which car comes out — so a good photo makes the biggest difference.

1. Get the whole car in frame

Bumper to bumper, wheels included. Anything the photo doesn't show, the model has to guess, and guesses rarely match your car.

2. Shoot from a three-quarter front angle

A front-three-quarter view shows the face and the side at once, which is exactly how the reveal frames the car. A straight front view works too. Avoid shots from directly above or extremely low.

3. Use even light and real colors

Daylight or a bright garage keeps the paint true. Night shots, heavy filters and neon color casts change the color of the finished car.

4. Keep the background clean

One car, nothing in front of it. People leaning on the car or other cars overlapping make it harder for the model to tell where your car ends.

5. Enough resolution

Use photos at least 300 px on each side — larger is better. Heavily compressed screenshots lose the details that make your car recognizable, like the grille and the wheel design.
